what does it matter if a white guy gets beaten? im white and im from finland where there is only one guy fighting for the ufc and i still love the sport. i would love mma even if green or purple guy would beat everyone

Edgar won the fight. He was much stronger than Henderson, taking him down and throwing him down multiple times. He landed many leg kicks and punches to the head. He knocked Henderson on his butt with one punch. Henderson got an upkick and a few hits. The upkick was totally Edgar's fault -- he was too confident. If there is a rematch, Edgar will dominate him.
Henderson controlled the Octagon and did more physical damage.
But from a scoring stand point, Frankie's takedowns and strikes landed should have won him the fight.

henderson had multiple combinations, every time frankie caught a kick, he not only failed to land any effective strikes, but a kick landed and henderson had more kicks than him. he had a huge number of knees, which edward had NONE, a submission attempt, multiple takedowns, reversed almost every takedown edwards did get or got right back up, and ended most rounds in dominant position. I'm really happy the judges didn't get taken in by edgards peppering punches, which is basically him showing off his movement and only occasionally connecting with anything significant. There's a reason 2 refs had 49-46, HENDERSON DOMINATED.
Henderson won the fight fairly clearly, despite Frankie's takedowns!
we can see a nice futur : japan gameover, bjj gameover,us fighters at the top wih whites and blacks fighters both because: kongo gameover, rampage gameover
i hate people like edgar who clearly take down opponents just for points, do no damage.. this scoring system sucks, why the hell would u give a point to a guy who loves taking someone down as oppose to people who dont like to? they feel obligated to just for points.. and edgar only took him down at the end of the rounds for points with zero intentions of wining cuz he coudln't finish in that little time...
By theses standards if your gonna say that henderson won this fight then NICK DIAZ won his fight by a huge margin by walking condit down and making a supposedly natural born killer run like a little bitch, at best henderson displayed some nice octagon control but never ever did you see Frankie run or retreat in any way shape or form in fact Frankie look stronger was stronger but showed more damage which should mean very little but whatever who cares cause after all its just someone else'e life RIGHT!!!!!

And gee, maybe the judges were smart enough to see that 'not being an idiot and standing in front of Diaz' was the core of Condit's game plan, LOL

frankie won that fight, henerson sucks and that dsisecion was a joke. now eyeryone wants edger to move to 145 even though he won. i just wasnt impressed with henderson at all and he sucks. I hate tim boetch.
i have to say that ben henderson showed his ability to go the distance and put on a good show. on the other hand edgar deffinetly won that fight more takedowns more strikes and better foot work even a knock down. henderson was pushing the fight and landed an upkick not impresive in my veiw. great fight poor decision
Nice fight.. I can see a lot of edgar fans here, It was a close fight regardless of the outcome.In the end, they should give the win to Hendo, even a non mma fan would easily identify the winner by looking at their faces. Frankie was outclassed that night and he knows it, wat he needs to do right now is redeem himself, and try to get the belt back.

who ever thinks this fight was in favor of edgar better watch it again! I dont know why even dana white would grant edgar a rematch after being beaten up like that? Edgar definatley has heart and is a smart fighter but belongs at 145. I dont see edgar beating Nate Diaz or Pettis because of there reach advantage so its a smart move plus if he beats aldo somehow he would own that division for days!
The judges got this fight right. Henderson landed more punches, and not only that, but did more damage with each strike landed. Save for the Maynard fight, Frankie has shown that he hits like a de-clawed rat. The people saying Frankie won this fight obviously don't know what they're talking about when it comes to judging. A takedown doesn't mean anything if you can't do anything with it, and especially if you can only keep your man down for a few seconds. So by those standards, Henderson was controlling where the fight went, because despite Frankie's want to fight on the ground, it hardly ever took place there. In fact, it mainly only took place on the ground when Henderson was choking Frankie out. Good job to Edgar for pulling through that though, he's a tough guy.
Everyone keeps talking about edgar catching bendos kicks the whole time, but when you catch someones kick it still lands it just gives you a chance to do something to them while they are one legged which frankie did not
p.s. i would have loved to see bendo land that kick while frankie was holding his leg and decapitate him

Yah bugging I like Edgar but the sport is to hurt your opponent dominate the ring ben beat the shit out of that boy broke nose black eye by the end of the first round ...I mean cmon now we know how this sport go..Edgar got a lot of heart but Yahoo cant confuse that wit him getting that Ase whipped ben game plan wassail simple hit him don't let him do all that flashy head moving n bobbing in and out his shots...when Edgar got in range he swung to hurt and do damage...Edgar knew that whit so he tried to get pionts and gimmicks to look good but..real Emma fighters n fans know Edgar was hurt after the first round...but he will b ok he gonna dominate 145 were he belong he too short to keep fighting all the contenders in that weight class all these other countries are training big fighters to cut down weight now days it was just Usa at first but now theits too many fighters n fighting styles anyone who is long n patience enough will give Edgar a hard time

Henderson won clearly. edgar got takedowns but he couldnt keep him down thats why henderson won. henderson out-boxed edgar and damaged his face pretty damn bad. henderson clearly had the size and strenght advantage over edgar. for jesus sakes look at edgars face that says enough. Henderson also outlanded edgar, so you cant fucking sit here and tell me that edgar won lmao. Edgar is gonna get whooped again over summer anyways and bendo will remain the champ for years to come

Wow! What a fight! There seem to be a lot of moronic ignorant people posting comments so I’ll be objective as possible. I agree with the decision that Henderson won although I thought the 49-46 scorecards were really giving Henderson the benefit of the doubt on the 3 rounds that could have went either way. Edgar won round 1 and Henderson won the 3rd round for sure. The other rounds could have went either way, they were that close. I had Edgar winning round 5 and Henderson winning rounds 2 and 4. Henderson did absolutely steel the fight with the up-kick in the 2nd, the one significant kick in the 4th that wobbled Edgar and the last 15 seconds of the 5th (although I would have given Edgar the last round anyways). It was such a strange fight in that way that a 49-46 scorecard in favor of Henderson isn’t ridiculous ,but Edgar probably wins that fight clearly (probably 49-46) if those 3 occurrences didn’t happen that I mentioned in my last sentence. But those 3 significant occurrences did happen, Henderson did just enough, and I agree with the one lone judge 47-46 Henderson.
I love the heart of both fighters in this fight and agree that Frankie lost this one. I would hate to see this sport turn into a run and score and run sport. Nick Diaz vs Cyborg or BJ Penn is what I wanna see. If you learn the techniques but are afraid to fight, you may as well be a dancer in Hollywood...

The only significant strike henderson had was the upkick, so it made it see as he did alot of damage.. but if you got hit in the bridge of the nose your entire face would swell too. frankie had more takedowns, more counterpunches, and controlled the octagon as well.. edgar won this fight
