MMA Full Fight Video of Dion Staring vs. Daniel Cormier in the Co-Main Event Heavyweight Bout @ Strikeforce: Marquardt vs. Saffiedine in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA, on January 12th, 2013.
Ok like not to burst anyones bubble, but if Cormier joins the UFC looking like he'd scarfed down the all you can eat buffet from wong jims, he's going to get owned. The HW's and the LHW fighters from the UFC, not even the champions are as out of shape as Cormier looked. I think DC thinks he's going to just go into the UFC and own Jon Jones and i think he's going to get a rude awakening. That guy he just fought looked like his first day in the organization, he had no stamina, no ground game, and for all the talk of this guys incredible stand up, it was a waste of time. I just predict that alot of these SF top guys are going to have a nasty wake up call when they get to the UFC or not even last.
Cormier sure talks.. haha I dont like fighters talking/measuring sum1 whom they haven't fought yet.. But going back to his fighting style, He's got some serious package. He is an excellent wrestler have had numerous gold medals up his neck, pretty nice stand up.. and put out Dion Staring.. I mean staring had 36 MMA fight, and undefeated for 3 years that being said he is no easy opponent.. I'd disagree that cormier is out of shape, that's the usual shape of a professional wrestler, He has been in that shape for the longest time in his life I'd say mir is more off shape. With he moving in the UFC I think is not a bad choice.. Thrilled to see him compete with one of the best.. and will take it from there and see what happens
Although DC won the fight easily, I'm really not convinced he's going to dominate in the UFC just yet. He looked slow in this fight, and really should've knocked out his opponent faster and more convincingly, that is if he is going to do well in the UFC like everyone says.
